the day grows closer and closer and the performance is not the most terrifying part. Paying out of pocket for not selling all these tickets is doin a number on my stress levels! more like a jig. the outcome will be positive, either way, if we succeed, we reap. if we fail, we practice harder. We have been up there before and need to remember that this could all be over in a heartbeat. What part of have fun do I not get?

theRUMBLEFISH

I am the frontman of a band called theRUMBLEFISH (one word) (("the" included)). We are a hip hop band who come from varying, yet complimentary styles to make a unique sound. We are, in my opinion, worthy of playing in the ears of AT LEAST 30% of the worlds population. We unfortunately lack the experience of a band who is trying  to make it. We've managed to miss several opportunities and drag the project down ourselves at times, but now it has been rejuvenated with the additions of 2 new members and a flurry of new song concepts that are sure to tickle the fancy of a few more ears. The hard work that has been put into this band has reached a fork in the road by way of a prime slot in a San Francisco venue that many MANY great acts have performed in. This is the proverbial "Big Chance". The result can go 1 of 2 ways... 

1.SINK      or      2.SWIM

Will we play at the highest of our potential and get closer to our dreams of making music for a living? Will we falter in front of a crowd of people who will boo and ridicule, ultimately smashing our dreams? I think its all a little heavy when in actuality, I JUST HAVE TO BE MYSELF.

I can't sleep. Not pointing fingers just pointing out the lack of drive to not experience the next 4 hours of my life with my eyes closed when I figure there's sooo much livin to do. The frantic schedule I have been blessed with can at times wear me down. (I say "at times" because admitting defeat attracts negativity and let's face it, negativity is sooo 2005). Biting off more than you can chew, yet washing it down with a milkshake, is the best way to describe it.
Live performance at Slim's in SF on September 4th, 8 art projects for commission, 17 personal art projects, taking care of wifey and baby, working toward a promotion... Man life is great/tough! Follow my many adventures and spread the word about theRUMBLEFISH!! LOOK OUT FOR US!!!

I meant it when I said it, I will never forget it, it's embedded and I'm committed till the day I get it, I made it crystal clear, I was destined to persevere, now my big break is here, and I'm gon get it, I've waited for this day like a "kiss" from Mary Jane, I can't explain my brain just knows how to get it, I'm coaching seminars, packed clubs or dive bars, not mansions and fast cars, just how you can get it, you gotta meditate and strive, the answers are all inside, those gray clouds will go by and then you too will get it, until the day I'm gone and we stop droppin bombs, I won't stop till we get it
